YABATECH CELEBRATES HER 33rd CONVOCATION CEREMONY IN GRAND STYLE.

The Yaba  College of Technology successfully graduated 8,411 students in her 33rd Convocation ceremony which ended on the 21st of novemver 2019.

The event which had it Grand finale ceremony at the college sports Center  had Representatives from several universities,polytechnics and college of education  across Nigeria including a representative from the minister of Education.
Her  Graduands where from School of Science, School of Liberal Studies , School of Arts and Design, School of Technology and  School of Management and Business Studies who were awarded with National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and Professional National Diploma Certificates
It was said that this graduands would work into making the nation proud

Lynching of the Aluu 4 in PortHarcourt

The  Aluu four 4  was a necklace  lynching  that involved four young men, Ugonna Obuzor, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa, and Tekena Elkanah, all students of the  University of Port Harcourt . They were all lynched after they were falsely accused of theft in Aluu, a community in Port Harcourt,  Rivers State ,  Nigeria  on 5 October 2012. [1] [2] [3] Chiadika Biringa, Lloyd Toku Mike, Tekena Elkanah and Ugonna Obuzor were all friends, first sons of their parents, and students of  University of Port Harcourt . The four students were also occasional roommates. Ugbonna sometimes spent the night with Tekena who lived outside the campus.
