ASSOCIATION OF MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS YABATECH SWEARING IN NEW STUDENTS EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Government of G19 students Executive council (SEC) of mass communication
came to an end on the 20th of November 2019 , and the newly elected SEC members were sworn in , in the presence of Barrister Ajayi, Dr. O.T Raheem (fmr Dean students Affairs, fmr Deputy Rector), Dr. Charles Oni (HOD mass communication) , Mrs Ashaolu, Mr Omotosho (staff Adviser), Miss MahMah and Mr Babalola (fmr staff advicer).

The  Event kicked  off after the opening prayer by Comrade Chukwudi Nwankwo, Opening speech by Dr.Charles Oni who urged and adviced the incoming electorates of G20 to be deligent and uphold honesty ,
in their newly elected office and also for them to forfeit any act of corruption during their reign.

After the different speech given by all the speakers, the swearing in of the newly elected SEC members began with barrister Ajayi
taking up the swearing process , the final speech  was given  to Comrade Adekoya Paul Genesis  who is the newly elected President of the Department, he gave recognition to all Staffs ,guest and the out going G19 Excos present at the inauguration ceremony
he promised to be diligent ,truthful and uphonesty in his call of duty.

Certificates where given to the out going Students Executive council (SEC) and the Students Representative Council (SRC), In appreciation to their selfless efforts and works done in achieving a successful G19.

Lynching of the Aluu 4 in PortHarcourt

The  Aluu four 4  was a necklace  lynching  that involved four young men, Ugonna Obuzor, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa, and Tekena Elkanah, all students of the  University of Port Harcourt . They were all lynched after they were falsely accused of theft in Aluu, a community in Port Harcourt,  Rivers State ,  Nigeria  on 5 October 2012. [1] [2] [3] Chiadika Biringa, Lloyd Toku Mike, Tekena Elkanah and Ugonna Obuzor were all friends, first sons of their parents, and students of  University of Port Harcourt . The four students were also occasional roommates. Ugbonna sometimes spent the night with Tekena who lived outside the campus.
